Penfolds is Australia’s leading winery. The multi-region, multi-grape-varietal winemaking boom began here with Max Schubert. This wine is a tribute to him. It’s made by Peter Gago, who has been recognised in The Queen’s Birthday Honours for his winemaking. And it does both these men proud. It’s a full-bodied, elegant wine, with notes of blueberry, mulberry, mocha and almond, smooth tannins, and a silky finish. Try it with beef.
