Description
This ‘extra old’ rum is made by Mount Gay Distillery, in Barbados, from a blend of rums that have been aged for up to 17 years. These rums have been matured in American whiskey, Bourbon and Cognac casks. And that’s what makes it so deliciously complex. It has aromas of vanilla, spice and oak, flavours of salted caramel, dark chocolate and clove and a long, creamy finish. Try it with elderflower liqueur and two dashes of rhubarb bitters and garnish with an orange peel.
