Description
Made from steep terraced vineyards in the Valdeorras region of Galicia, this Mencia is made for CVNE portfolio by Jorge Navascues of Contino Rioja fame. The vines of the small estate struggle in poor soils at high altitudes and produce tiny yields of concentrated grapes. Harvested by hand, this gorgeous red is totally unoaked with bright notes of dark cherry, earthy briar and minerals. Fresh but complex, it’s delightful on its own, or with white meats and poultry.
