Description
Hugel are one of the wine dynasties of Alsace, established in 1639. Today the 12th and 13th generation of the family continue to produce exceptional Riesling. And plenty of attention to detail goes into making it. Grapes are hand-harvested from vines averaging 35 years old – adding complexity – and plans to become certified organic are underway. This elegant bottling couldn’t be more typical Alsace, with its aromas of apple, pear and citrus. With that underlying minerality and vibrant acidity, wines also don’t get much more food-friendly. Try it with sea bass ceviche or traditional pâté en croûte.
