Description
This 92-point claret is made by Château Meyney, the only winery in Médoc that has clay soils similar to those at £2, 500-per-bottle Pétrus. It’s a second wine in name, but it’s made with the same care as the grand vin. The only difference is that it’s from younger vines – which are still, on average, 35-years-old. Its depths of black-fruit flavour and snappy tannins and beginning to hit their peak right now.
