Bordeaux Supérieur must be, by law, made to higher standards than Bordeaux AOC. This includes a minimum required ripeness of fruit, lower harvest yields and at least a year of ageing in oak. As a result, when you choose well, you get excellent value for money. 2016 was a warm year by Bordeaux standards, so this is a richly textured and fruit-driven wine. It’s full of delicious plum and blackberry flavours. The extra years of cellaring has given it a silky texture that’s rounded by supple tannins. The perfect choice for roast beef.
