Description
A great-value wine made by Bordeaux experts. Château Lagrave-Aubert is the work of the Auberts, the same family who own the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru chateau, La Couspaude. That means you get the benefit of their expertise, and grapes grown on similar soils – Château Lagrave-Aubert is next to Saint- Émilion – but at a great price. It’s a rich and velvety wine made from hand-picked Merlot grapes and a dash of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Expect flavours of blackberry, red plum, cedar and earth. Its maturity makes for melted tannins which are a treat with a roast dinner.
