Description
More than 100 years ago, a winemaker was losing barrels of wine. He couldn’t catch the thieves – so instead, he put about a story that the Devil lived in his cellars. The story quickly became legend – many people claimed to have seen the Devil with their own eyes – and the winemaker was satisfied. No thieves dared to enter the ‘Casillero del Diablo’, so they never touched his wines again. But the story hasn’t deterred British drinkers – this Cabernet is a national favourite. It’s quintessentially Chilean, big, bold and fruity. It’s packed with flavours of cherries and plums, with a hint of vanilla spice. Silky textured, it’s a fantastic option with roasted red meats.
