Description
Ice wine is just as interesting and exciting as it sounds. To make it, grapes are frozen on the vine to concentrate the natural sugars, so when they’re pressed, they create a lusciously sweet wine. And this is rumoured to be the only ice wine made in Spain. You might think that the country is too warm for freezing grapes. But this winery is the highest in mainland Spain, 1100 metres above sea level. Expect intense notes of apricot, tropical fruit, citrus and spice. Serve it cold as an apéritif or to accompany strong cheeses.
