Kangarilla Road Primitivo 2018, McLaren Vale

Description

Deep and intense Primitivo – commonly referred to as Zinfandel – is typically found in California, Puglia and its native Croatia. But it grows excellently in Australia’s Mc Laren Vale, too, as this wine shows. A temperate Mediterranean-style climate and moderating sea influences result in a dark, richly perfumed red wine with aromas of strawberry jelly, roses, tea and orange. Flavours of spice and truffle – mixed with dark berry fruit – make this one to drink with barbecued ribs or lamb curry.
