MAN Family Wines was founded by three friends who often stayed up too late talking about how to make a living from winemaking. Their approach is to keep things honest and straightforward. That’s why this wine is named Outentiek, which is Afrikaans for ‘authentic’. They deliberately avoided too much oak and the fruit-forward style of Shiraz you may expect from South Africa. It’s a medium-bodied, peppery Syrah with bright red-fruit notes and polished tannins. Try it with crispy pork belly.
