This estate was recognised as 3rd Grand Cru Classé in the legendary 1855 classification of Bordeaux and is owned by the Barton family, who also own Léoville-Barton. They’re a big name in Saint-Julien. And this exceptional 2009 vintage shows why. The year saw near-perfect vintage conditions, and this means the wine has aged elegantly. It’s powerful and structured, with flavours of blackberry, black cherry, mint and sweet spices. Try it with duck breast.
