Description
Tucked away in Haut-Medoc, Château Lanessan is something of a hidden gem for Bordeaux lovers. The château has been run by the Bouteiller family for more than eight generations. And they know a thing or two about making excellent claret that doesn’t price out their dedicated fans. Legend has it that famed French explorer Paul-Émile Victor would always take a bottle on his expeditions. He was onto something. Expect sumptuous notes of red fruit, woody vanilla and white pepper from this excellently mature red. This will go wonderfully with duck.
