Description
A Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon blend is nothing new in Australia. Plummy, savoury Shiraz and structured Cabernet have been a fail-safe combination since the late 19th century. For this blend, Cape Mentelle looked to winemaking tradition to craft something deeply complex and textured. Both varieties are sourced from Margaret River, a region with a climate that nourishes intensely aromatic grapes. So you can expect intense notes of dark forest fruits, cinnamon, mocha and molasses. This is a great wine to match with anything seasoned with Provençal herbs, so roasted lamb is a no-brainer.
