Description
Many years ago, the late John Arlott asked a 17-year-old Ian Botham if he drank wine. The answer was “No, sir, I’m from Somerset and drink cider”. Over his globe-conquering career, he developed a taste for fine wine on his visits to a number of the New World’s best winemaking spots. Now, his wine-award cabinet is beginning to rival what he achieved on the pitch. This is a rich and full Malbec, with notes of black fruits and vanilla, and a zippy acidity that’s great with steak.
