Description
Love vintage Champagne, but not the price tag? Then this vintage Bouvet Ladubay could be just the thing. Crémant is the savvy drinker’s first-choice alternative to Champagne. It’s made using the same ‘traditional method’, the lengthy and expensive method that makes Champagne so pricey. Crémant de Loire is usually just Chenin Blanc. But this Saphir vintage includes a portion of Chardonnay which gives it more of that biscuity, briochey character. They also age it for 18 months. This dials up those savoury, bready flavours. Peachy, honeyed and nutty, this is really classy fizz – and an absolute steal for the quality. Delicious with white fish in a buttery sauce.
